Hello, We are looking for a skilled handyman, joiner, or cabinet maker to repair a broken cupboard door hinge at our retail store, in Westfield Chatswood Chase. The Issue: A concealed European-style hinge has been pulled out of an under-desk cabinet door in our staff area. The plastic dowels and screws have ripped out, leaving the pre-drilled holes in the cabinet door stripped, so the hinge cannot be simply screwed back in. The door is currently sagging and misaligned. The Job: The task is to repair the stripped holes and securely re-hang the cabinet door. The scope of work includes: 1. Assessing the damaged holes on the cabinet door/frame. 2. Repairing the holes (e.g., by filling them with wood filler/epoxy, plugging with dowels, or using suitable oversized plastic anchors). 3. Securely re-fastening the original hinge back onto the door and frame. 4. Aligning the door so it opens, closes, and latches smoothly. Please note: The successful contractor MUST supply any minor materials required for the repair (such as wood filler, plastic dowels, glue, or screws). These should be included in your final offer.
