Drill and hang 8 custom IKEA kitchen cabinet doors — Crows Nest I need an experienced cabinetmaker, kitchen installer, or highly capable handyman to drill the concealed-hinge holes in 8 new custom cabinet doors, then fit and align them on my existing IKEA kitchen cabinetry. The cabinet carcasses and IKEA-style hinge mounting plates are already installed. The new doors are on site, still wrapped, and ready to be drilled and hung. Scope • Measure and mark each door based on the existing cabinet-side hinge/mounting-plate positions • Drill the correct hinge pattern for IKEA UTRUSTA / METOD-style concealed hinges • Fit hinges to each door and attach them to the existing mounting plates • Hang, align and adjust all 8 doors for consistent gaps and smooth opening/closing • Keep doors protected during work and clean up all drilling dust/debris Hinge details These are standard European-style concealed cup hinges: • 35 mm hinge-cup hole • Approx. 11.5–12 mm deep — absolutely must not drill through the front face • Two smaller adjacent locating/screw holes for the hinge hardware • Existing kitchen and hinge close-up are shown in the photos Important: Please confirm the exact cup-hole setback, vertical hinge positions and smaller-hole pattern from the actual existing hinges/cabinet locations before drilling. I do not want generic measurements used blindly. Ideally, test-fit one door first, confirm alignment, then complete the rest. Tools required Please bring appropriate tools, ideally including: • 35 mm Forstner bit or concealed-hinge drilling jig • Depth stop • Drill/driver and smaller drill bits • Measuring/marking tools, clamps, etc. Please confirm you have a suitable 35 mm hinge jig or Forstner bit with depth control. Looking for an experienced carpenter/handyman to repair a damaged timber door and surrounding door frame. As shown in the photos, there is significant damage to the hinge side of the door/frame. The timber door jamb has split and pulled away in sections, including around the hinges, and some of the architrave/trim has also come away. The door itself also appears to have split/cracked along the hinge side and may require repair or replacement depending on its condition. Looking for someone to assess and complete whatever is required to restore it properly, including: * Repair or replace damaged sections of the door jamb/frame * Assess and repair the damaged door, or advise if replacement is more appropriate * Secure/reinstall the hinges * Rehang and correctly align the door * Repair/reinstall damaged architrave/trim * Make sure the door opens, closes and sits correctly * Patch/fill and ideally leave repaired areas ready for painting I’m unsure of the appropriate budget, so please send through your best offer for the job, including labour and materials where possible.
