Instead of buying a flat-pack half pipe, I want to build a half pipe around what already exists in the house. I want the ramp to be about 2-foot high ; no vert; and lots of transition I need a carpenter who has experience building ramps and, preferably, is or was a skater to help me figure out transition etc. Option 1 would be the back veranda: rip out the existing wood, replace with marine ply and a large half pipe. The blue line represents the line along the banister and it's 6.5m. Maybe the strange (non-square) shape could be accommodated by cutting the table bit of the ramp. Option 2 somehow convert wasted space between garage and house into a half pipe. so it would cover the white pebbles and the gray concrete where the pram is If I did that a 2m x 4m would fit nicely, but I'd have to put a new and larger garage so that: a. the existing pole isn't in the way, and b. the ramp could be more protected from the elements My budget is $2,200. I think the materials would be $1000. So I'm budgeting $1,200 for labor. Labor for Option 1 would include removing the banister and other wood. Labor for Option 2 would include preparing the ground.
