Hello, We are looking for a skilled handyman, joiner, or cabinet maker to perform several repairs on the main POS (Point of Sale) counter at our retail store, in Westpoint Blacktown. The Issue: - Swing Doors: Two under-counter cabinet doors are misaligned from their hinges. They move noticeably, close unevenly, and do not sit flush. - Drawers: The internal drawers do not close properly, requiring staff to use makeshift fixes to keep them shut. This likely points to an issue with the drawer runners/sliders. We need to fix only one drawer and one cupboard door. The measurements of the drawer are L 40.7 cm x W 42.7 cm x H 18.9 cm. The Job: The task is to repair and adjust the doors and drawers to restore full and proper functionality. The scope of work includes: 1. For the Doors: Assessing the hinges, then adjusting, re-securing, or replacing them as necessary to ensure both doors hang straight, are perfectly aligned, and close smoothly. 3. For the Drawers: Inspecting the drawer runners (sliders), then repairing or replacing them to ensure the drawers open and close smoothly and fully. 4. Please note: The successful contractor MUST supply any necessary replacement parts (e.g., new hinges, new drawer runners, screws). The cost for these materials must be included in your final offer. I will supply: 200 × 63 LVL joists Joist hangers James Hardie Secura™ exterior flooring sheets (19 mm) Fibre cement soffit lining sheets 250 PFC steel beam (installed by others) You will be required to: Fix supplied 200 × 63 LVL joists to steel PFC beam and brick wall using joist hangers/ledger. Ensure joists are spaced at 450 mm centres (as per flooring requirements). Install James Hardie Secura flooring sheets to the top of joists (screwed and sealed per manufacturer guidelines). Install fibre cement soffit lining to the underside battens to create a flat ceiling line. Apply all fixings in accordance with NCC and AS standards, maintaining correct expansion gaps and fixing spacings. Keep work area safe and clean, and place off-cuts/waste at completion in supplied bin. Requirements Must be qualified/experienced carpenter(s) with own tools. Familiar with floor joist framing and fibre cement installation. Must work to Australian Standards and manufacturer’s installation guides. Timber sleeve installed by my neighbour has started bending and showing signs of cracking. Since this timber sleeve sits under the shared fence on my neighbours side and has been pushing into my backyard. Neighbourhood doesn’t care and isn’t cooperative. Need someone to install supports on my side of the timber sleeve to prevent it from pushing further or breaking into my backyard.
