I want to learn woodworking, I have no tools and I’m a beginner with zero knowledge. I have some projects I’d like to do and would be great to learn from someone while doing it. I could assist you in building and mounting, say a folding table for instance. Happy to buy material required.

I need an experienced carpenter or handyman to assess and repair an internal guest-bedroom door. The door is slightly slanted/misaligned and does not close or latch properly. It needs to be pushed or pulled very hard to shut, and even when it appears closed, the latch does not reliably engage with the strike plate. The door can sometimes be pushed open from outside without turning the handle. I have already tried tightening the hinge screws, but this made the door harder to close. When tightened fully, the door places pressure against the frame and may pop open by itself. Please inspect the full setup, including the door alignment, hinges, hinge screws and surrounding timber, door frame/jamb, handle, latch, strike plate and clearance around the door. The repair may involve replacing or repositioning hinges, repairing stripped screw holes, packing/adjusting hinges, repositioning or drilling the strike plate, adjusting the latch, or minor trimming/planing if required. The finished door should open and close smoothly, sit evenly in the frame, latch securely and remain closed unless the handle is turned. I prefer the existing door and frame to be repaired, not replaced. Please discuss any major work with me first. Bring the required tools and include basic minor materials in your offer. The job includes: * Carefully removing/cutting out the lower cabinet panel/base section to create enough space for the stacked setup. * Trimming the bottom of the cabinet door neatly so it fits and operates properly after the modification and add laminate on cabinet door. * Ensuring all cuts are clean, professional, and finished neatly. * Assisting me with lifting and placing the dryer onto the washing machine using the stacker kit. I have already purchased the stacker kit. The main requirement is clean and precise carpentry work, plus helping position the dryer safely onto the washing machine. Carpenter needs to make and attach additional timber frame to existing frame outside the garage opening, attach wall wrap, and attach 20mm timber battens on top.
