The Issue: A cupboard door on one of our sales floor cabinets has completely come off. It appears one of the clip-on/slide-on European hinges has failed or broken, and staff have been unable to re-attach it correctly. The door is currently off and cannot be used, which looks unprofessional. The Job: The task is to professionally and securely re-hang the cabinet door. The scope of work will involve: 1. Assessing the condition of the door, the hinges, and the mounting plates on the cabinet frame. 2. Correctly re-attaching the door to the mounting plates. I will supply: 200 × 63 LVL joists Joist hangers James Hardie Secura™ exterior flooring sheets (19 mm) Fibre cement soffit lining sheets 250 PFC steel beam (installed by others) You will be required to: Fix supplied 200 × 63 LVL joists to steel PFC beam and brick wall using joist hangers/ledger. Ensure joists are spaced at 450 mm centres (as per flooring requirements). Install James Hardie Secura flooring sheets to the top of joists (screwed and sealed per manufacturer guidelines). Install fibre cement soffit lining to the underside battens to create a flat ceiling line. Apply all fixings in accordance with NCC and AS standards, maintaining correct expansion gaps and fixing spacings. Keep work area safe and clean, and place off-cuts/waste at completion in supplied bin. Requirements Must be qualified/experienced carpenter(s) with own tools. Familiar with floor joist framing and fibre cement installation. Must work to Australian Standards and manufacturer’s installation guides. Timber sleeve installed by my neighbour has started bending and showing signs of cracking. Since this timber sleeve sits under the shared fence on my neighbours side and has been pushing into my backyard. Neighbourhood doesn’t care and isn’t cooperative. Need someone to install supports on my side of the timber sleeve to prevent it from pushing further or breaking into my backyard.
