I need an experienced bricklayer to repair a painted brick front fence on a corner block in Highgate. The fence was hit by machinery. The corner pier is leaning and has separated from the adjoining wall, and the base along the footpath has gaps with loose and missing bricks and mortar. Scope of work: 1. Inspect the impact damage and check the pier, wall and footings are sound 2. Straighten or rebuild the leaning corner pier and re-secure it to the wall 3. Repin failed mortar and replace loose or damaged bricks 4. Repair the base gaps 5. Repaint all repaired areas, and any other areas needed, to match the existing white finish 6. Clean up and remove all waste Requirements: Proven bricklaying experience (photos of similar work)

Looking for an experienced bricklayer for some backyard landscaping. Three pieces of brickwork in recycled red bricks with off-white mortar. The bricks are already cleaned and stacked in the yard. The yard is cleared bare earth and there’s rear access at the moment, so getting gear in is easy. Photos of the yard as it is now and a dimensioned plan are attached; all measurements are approximate and can be fine-tuned on site. Retaining wall, roughly 8.7 m total: a straight run of about 5.3 m then a gentle curve, ending about 1.5 m short of the rear shed. Approx. 300 mm high, double brick, brick-on-edge capping. A single brick step off the existing spotted gum deck, two courses high, with a tread of one to one-and-a-half bricks (TBC). Starts at the retaining wall and follows the deck’s curved front edge all the way around to the house, about 6.5 m. BBQ bench against the north fence: about 2.0 m long, 750 mm deep, 900 mm high, with an open shelf under. Bricks are supplied, nothing else. Please say what you’d need. Looking to start ASAP.

I have a low brick fence at the front of my property which was hit by a car. Looking to replace the broken section, approx 107cm long and 93cm high. Then hang an existing gate onto the fence post. The gate is salvageable but will need new hardware to affix to the post. New bricks will need to be supplied, or I am open to replacing the whole section with a different material.

We have a finger wall which is needs to be built up to comply with wa pool fence standards. The current wall is 1135mm and we need to raise it to ~1225mm. The finger wall is ~300mm by 195mm. Quite small. We would then need to add a light render to it. So the requirements are to build the wall up about 90mm and render. The job is available to do at anytime from 7am to 7pm. We have plenty of used masonry bricks that can be used but you'll need to cut them to size.

Finish removing mortafill/sealing brick fireplace Description: Looking for an experienced bricklayer or someone with repointing experience to remove the yellow mortar an internal brick fireplace and fix up the cement and then make the hole thing look uniform Some of the work has been started by my husband but needs someone with a good eye and who won’t damage anything else as it’s a new home to: * Remove the yellow mortar and bring back to as it is above. * Tool and smooth all joints so they have a consistent finish. * Clean excess mortar from the face of the bricks. * Blend the new pointing as neatly as possible with the existing brickwork. Need to seal the hole fireplace when finished removing morta so it’s uniform and dust doesn’t come off it This is an older brick fireplace, so experience with restoration or repointing would be preferred. Please quote for labour only. I can provide more photos (attached) and happy to answer any questions. My husband can help, he has already started. The middle black part doesn’t need to be done and it’s only the front part of the fireplace and the sides. This can be done in a few hours hence the price , basically all you are doing is removing the mortafill and sealing the whole fireplace

We have a brick step leading up to our terrace house that is 40 deep and 80cm wide. I need that step extended to 80cm deep, and an additional step created on top. The aim is to reduce the height of the step by creating 2 shallower steps, as it’s hard for my elderly mother to manage the current height. I can supply the bricks or you can. Need it done in the next approx 2 weeks. I also need a handrail installed but we could discuss that if you’re interested. Thank you.
