I’m looking for an experienced bricklayer or brick restoration specialist to repair and restore the existing exposed brick feature walls inside my apartment in Darlinghurst. (My previous post was accidentally removed. - Inspecting the walls and identifying areas requiring repair. - Removing loose, cracked or deteriorated mortar. - Repointing the brickwork using suitable mortar for the age and condition of the bricks. - Repairing damaged mortar joints, chipped bricks and rough edges. - Removing and replacing any bricks that are too badly damaged to retain. - Matching replacement bricks as closely as possible to the existing colour, size and character. - Cleaning excess mortar, paint residue, dust and construction residue. - Repairing old holes, penetrations and previous fixing points where required. - Tidying inconsistent areas so the finished walls look professionally restored while retaining their original character. - Final clean-down once repairs and repointing are complete. I’m also interested in having the walls finished with a suitable clear breathable brick/masonry sealer The listed Airtasker price is only an estimate. I’m looking for an experienced bricklayer/remedial masonry tradesperson to remove two ficus saplings growing from the masonry of my Sydney property and repair the affected brickwork. Area 1 – Garage/outbuilding A ficus is growing from the top of a rendered brick garage and appears to have caused significant cracking and movement. Work required: Remove ficus and roots from masonry Open affected area as required to remove root penetration Remove loose, cracked or displaced bricks/mortar Re-lay/rebuild affected brickwork Repair and repoint cracking Check cracking above garage opening and advise of any potential lintel issue Patch/render repairs to match existing finish Area 2 – Main house A second ficus is growing directly from the masonry on the side of the main house at approximately first-floor level. Work required: Remove sapling and accessible roots from within masonry, not simply cut it off Open masonry where necessary to remove established roots Replace/re-lay damaged bricks or mortar Repoint and make good Leave area weatherproof with a neat finish matching surrounding wall General Please include labour, materials, access equipment if required, vegetation removal and waste disposal. The objective is to remove both plants and accessible root systems and properly repair the masonry, not simply cut them off and fill over the visible damage. I need a bricklayer to repair a broken fence. The fence was damaged by a vehicle backing into it, and about 20 bricks have come down. It's pretty old, a single layer of bricks, and looks untidy. I'm just after the fence being repaired, don't care about painting it (I can do that myself)

My existing brick pillar was knocked down. Looking to get it flattened and rebuilt with postbox built in. I will supply the post box (Milkcan brand , see installation instructions). Looking for pillar to be built and finished with a smooth surface , I will paint when dry.

Hi I need a bricklayer to complete some repairs/ re-building Job 1 is to replace the brickwork above garage starting from bottom of soldier course and working up. as photos provided I want to use old bricks which can be removed by me if you are worried about removal . I have 2 galvanised lintels which I could use. I think the old lintels have rusted and are expanding this is why the courses above door are moving forward. Job 2 is the same with the front wall that is leaning forward . The brick gate pier is complete but has come away in one line . I do have some movement on another corner of the house that may need some attention I think a tree is cracking the brick course. The job is in Petersham 2049 NSW I need a bricklayer that can lay bricks with small mortar joints and hopefully match the mortar colour. I am a Carpenter by trade and can labour if needed for the Bricklayer. I will be around to meet anytime from today 3pm in week days all day weekends. Thanks for looking Greg

Re-point crack that is starting to form in brick wall of single storey house.

See photos. Bricklayer skills needed. Part of a brick wall has been damaged and needs to be repaired by removing any loose bricks and re-laying / pointing these and any missing bricks. We estimate around 20 bricks need to be relaid and pointed. We will re-paint once completed to match existing wall colour. The site is in a small rear courtyard of a tenanted property so we would need to coordinate access and the site would need to be left tidy with all rubbish removed. Price to include supplying like-for-like bricks.

Loose brick has come out of wall, with weight of clothes line. Need someone to mortar it back in and if needed, reattach the clothes line.
