I’m looking for a mobile mechanic or auto electrician to diagnose and fix the charging issue on my 1990 Toyota MR2 SW20 G-Limited before Sunday. It’s an automatic, naturally aspirated 3S-GE with power steering. The car starts, but the battery isn’t charging, so I believe the alternator has failed. I’d prefer to have the current alternator reconditioned if it can be done within the timeframe. Otherwise, I’m happy to have the correct replacement alternator supplied and fitted. Access is quite tight and the alternator needs to come out from underneath, so someone familiar with SW20 MR2s or similar cars would be preferred. Budget is up to $850 due to the short notice

Both LED headlights suddenly went dim about a week after a recent service — one is very dim, the other dim. The lenses are clean/clear, so it's not the covers. It came on suddenly, not gradually, so I think it's electrical (loose terminal, earth/ground, or charging).
