Description: Looking for an experienced plasterer to install a full acoustic/soundproof ceiling system in a granny flat. The prep work is already done — beams are exposed (no demolition needed) and the electrician has already completed their work, so you can start straight on the install. Scope of work (45m² ceiling area): - Fit high-density acoustic insulation batts (mineral wool) between the joists - Install resilient sound isolation clips (RSIC/Genie-clip style) and furring channel to the joists - Fix two layers of 13mm acoustic-rated plasterboard (e.g. CSR Gyprock Soundchek), with Green Glue damping compound between the layers, joints staggered - Seal the full perimeter and any penetrations with acoustic sealant - Set, sand and finish ready for paint What's provided/arranged: - Beams are exposed and ready to work on — no demolition required - Electrical work (disconnection/reinstatement of any fittings) already completed - I have a handy husband (tradesman, but not a plasterer) who can assist with lifting/holding boards or running materials if that helps speed things along Materials: - Happy to either supply materials myself (insulation, clips, channel, board, Green Glue, sealant) or have you quote materials + labour — let me know your preference when you quote. I need a roofer/ tradesman to put a 3 meter *1 meter sheet of corrugated iron on my roof. I already have the sheet of iron. The dwelling is a relocatable home in a van park in Maroochydore. You need your own ladder, drill, screws etc. You just need to put the sheet on the existing roof and drill it in place. I’m not sure if 1 person can do it or if you need 2. Hopefully can get it done before the rain comes.
