# Replace Washing Machine Tap & Copper Piping Behind Wall ## Job Description Need an experienced plumber and/or handyman to replace an old washing machine tap and associated piping behind a wall. Work involves accessing pipes through gyprock, installing new copper piping to current code standards, and installing a compliant washing machine tap. ## What Needs to be Done: - Cut gyprock wall to access existing pipes (minimal damage preferred) - Remove old washing machine tap and associated piping - Install new copper piping to meet current plumbing codes - Install new code-compliant washing machine tap with proper shut-off - Patch and repair gyprock wall after completion, including tiling and painting of area - Clean up work area ## Requirements: - Must be a licensed plumber or experienced handyman with plumbing experience - Experience with copper pipe installation and soldering - Knowledge of current local plumbing codes and standards - Basic painting and/or tiling skills for finishing work - Own tools and equipment - Able to supply necessary materials (copper pipe, fittings, tap, tiles and gyprock repair materials, etc, materials costs covered when receipts provided.) - Insurance/public liability coverage ## Estimated Time: 4-7 hours (including counter top removal/reinstallation with just silicone) ## When: Flexible timing - weekdays or weekends available ## Additional Information: - Wall access is behind laundry counter top which will need temporary removal - Counter top is only attached with silicone so should remove easily -Some tiles may need to be removed and then repaired at the end - Location has good access to work area once counter is moved - Water supply can be shut off during work - Water hammer arrestor part already supplied - just needs installation - Materials costs will be reimbursed upon provision of receipts - Photos of completed similar work appreciated
