Need help repairing a curtain track/rod fixing above a sliding door. The bracket is pulling out from the plaster wall. It looks like the original screws were not fixed into a stud or solid timber, and the plaster around the screw holes has started to crumble. The curtain track is still attached, but the fixing is becoming loose. The curtain rod length is about 3 metres.

There is a downlight in this area that will need to be handled. Finish: Install new plasterboard, plaster/set joints, sand smooth, and paint to match. Option B: Localized Patch Repair (Small areas only) Scope: Instead of changing the whole section, just cut out the 2 specific small spots where the water stains are (as shown in the photos). Finish: Patch the holes, apply plaster/mud, sand smooth, and paint over the patched areas.
