Leave the existing ceiling vents/grilles in place (do not remove or patch ceiling openings). Leave the ceiling cavity as clean as reasonably practicable, ready for subsequent ceiling repairs and new insulation installation. Remove all insulation, ducting and associated waste from site. Take before, during and after photos of the completed work. Exercise care to avoid damage to electrical wiring, ceiling lining and roof framing. Leave the property clean on completion. My roof insulation is old and worn out, needs to be fully replaced. I will buy all new insulation myself, only labour work required. Tasks: Strip out old roof insulation, clean up waste, install new batts properly throughout roof cavity. Patch ceiling and install a small drip tray and insulation. The main roof leaks into here we have it solved but need to put in a small drip tray (Where the stained picture is) Hot water heater style) and some reflective insulation and seal up. I’m looking for someone experienced to supply and install ceiling insulation in my roof space. The job is to install new ceiling insulation over the existing insulation and also tidy up/fix the current insulation where needed. Some of the existing batts appear uneven, moved around, compressed, or not sitting properly, so I want this corrected before the new insulation is laid over the top. The house footprint is approximately 14 m x 8 m, with the ceiling insulation area estimated at 100–120 m². I’m wanting the new insulation installed neatly over the existing batts, ideally laid in the opposite direction to reduce gaps and improve coverage. Preferably looking for R4.0 ceiling insulation or similar.
