I need a string repaired on my blind

A table leg was split and needs to be reconnected to the main supporting beams. The table top can be removed for fixing but will need to support the weight of the marble. Leg still supports table but may break if sideways pressure is applied.

We'd like the wall paper fixed in our dance studio. We have exams so would like a fast and affordable solution for this issue. Whether that is stripping the paper away, re-papering it or painting the wall once the paper is off or sanded back. Please let me know your professional opinion.
