Floating shelf needs to be installed. The shelf is not pre-drilled, so drilling and mounting will be required. I would like the shelf to sit on a wooden support/base for extra strength and stability, rather than being mounted directly onto the wall. Open to suggestions on the best way to install this securely and neatly. Please bring your own tools and advise if any additional materials are needed.

I’m looking for an electrician to install a DC ceiling fan in outdoor alfresco area, which will be operated with a remote control. There is no manhole/ceiling access - it is an area with a flat colorbond roof. Ceiling currently has down lights in it, with switch located inside house. I have included a photo I’ve taken of inside the roof space (taken by removing down light and sticking phone into roof to photograph). Looking for installation options that won’t require me to replaster. I am okay if it’s tied to the existing lights (ie fan only operates when light on). You can see photo of roof truss - I am presuming this is a sufficient attachment point for fan.
