Hi, I am requesting a quote for a repair on our timber flooring at our apartment. A piece of the wood has split and lifted along the grain, and we need a professional assessment and repair. Along with a quote for the fix, we would really appreciate your professional opinion on what caused this to happen, given that it came out naturally and along the grain. Details: * Dimensions: The split is approximately 32 cm long, 1 cm wide at its widest point, and 2 mm deep. * Issue: As shown in the attached photos, the splinter initiated at its paper-thin edge and lifted upward along the natural grain of the wood. * Photos: I have attached high-resolution photos showing the full length of the split and a close-up of the origin point for your reference. Could you please let me know: 1. An estimated cost for the repair (or if an in-person site visit is required first to quote). 2. There is a guage/hole about 5cm long in my floor that I need repaired please.

A rag with adhesive remover was accidentally placed on the wooden floor and the top coat has been removed. I’m not sure what the coating is or the colour of the floor. I need it repaired for end of lease. Area is roughly 10cm by 1cm.

I’m looking for a carpenter or decking professional to repair and restore my existing front timber deck. 1. Repair the existing three timber steps at the front of the deck. The timber is weathered and worn, so I’m looking to have the steps repaired and any damaged or deteriorated boards replaced as needed. 2. Add an extra step to the side steps. 3. Sand back the decking and apply a decking oil or stain to restore the timber and provide protection against the weather.

Timber floors need to be repaired due to some white ant damage and other wear. (All pests have been eradicated) needs to match existing jarrah boards Timber floor is 80mm x 20mm boards. 10 x boards nominally 1300mm long need to be replaced . Requesting quotes to repair a part of the wooden deck. Repairs are required on a block of 5m x 1.5m (see photograph of the section from the pillar till the lawn). The boards are okay and will last, but the supports under the boards for this particular section have started splitting and has started giving way. This section of the deck does not have an overhead roof and is exposed to rain and sun, resulting in wear and tear. Dates are flexible, but the work can only be undertaken on weekends due to safety compliance requirements.

I recently had a hot water leak in the laundry that spilled into the adjoining kitchen / hall area. At the time, all visible water was removed and professional dehumidifiers /dryers were used, so I believed everything had dried properly. I was then away overseas and have just returned to find that sections of the floating timber flooring have started to buckle/lift and gaps have appeared between some boards. Approximately 5-6 boards are affected. They also had a heavy piece of furniture pushing pressure onto it which may have contributed to the uneven expansion / shrinkage. The floors were already older / not in perfect condition, so I’m not looking to replace the entire floor. I’m hoping to salvage and repair the existing boards wherever possible. I’m looking for an experienced timber flooring specialist who can assess the affected area, including checking the timber and underneath for residual / trapped moisture. I understand the repair may need to be completed in two stages: initially lifting / removing the affected boards so the area underneath can be properly inspected and, if necessary, allowed to dry completely; then returning once moisture levels are appropriate to relay / reseat and repair the existing flooring. Ideally you will have a moisture meter and experience with water-damaged floating timber floors. The priority is making sure everything underneath is properly dry before the floor is closed back up, while preserving as much of the existing flooring as possible. I need a handyman or carpenter to fix damaged timber subflooring in a hallway and turn a sloped ramp section into a single step. What needs to be done: Pull back carpet to access the floor. Remove and replace the damaged wood underneath. Remove the current ramp transition between the high and low floor sections. Build a solid single step to connect the two floor levels. Lay carpet back down over the new step/floor.

I'm looking for an experienced flooring installer to replace several water-damaged bamboo floorboards in my apartment in Neutral Bay, NSW. The water damage was caused by a leaking fridge and a robotic mop. Both issues have now been resolved. Scope of works: - Remove and replace approximately 2–4 damaged bamboo floorboards. - We have the original matching spare floorboards available, so no flooring materials need to be supplied. - Ensure the replacement boards are installed neatly and blend with the existing floor. Additional works if timing/expertise allows: - Repair architrave around fridge cavity once floorboards are in - Repair minor chips elsewhere in the flooring I've attached photos of: - the damaged floorboards - the spare matching boards I'm looking for someone with experience replacing individual bamboo or engineered timber floorboards, rather than replacing an entire floor.
