Hello, we are renting and the side gate has fallen apart. I’m looking for an affordable solution for a new gate, installed, or for someone to fix the current one. Current gate is 1m width. Pailings are in tact (with old nail holes but timber still usable). However, the frame is falling apart (timber is disintegrated), so at a minimum the back frame needs to be replaced, new hinges attached etc. if you’re fixing the current gate, you’ll also need to clean it up and give it a paint. I'd like a garden privacy screen (standard 1.8m height bamboo or similar screening - e.g. from Bunnings) installed between our house and the neighbouring unit block - 15m of screening. We've had a dangerous wall demolished but building a new wall/fence and foundations is not feasible/affordable in the short-term. The screening could be positioned my side of the boundary - perhaps posts could be bolted to remaining wall and/or the screening could anchored behind the trees - see photos (taken from my side looking at the unit block). We want to improve the privacy in our home by installing some trellises to our colorbond fence - probably 3-4. It would need to be mounted on something from the ground or attached to our side of the fence. I have marked in red the height which the trellis needs to sit to block the view from our neighbours. I have a bamboo fence cover that is attached to an old wooden fence that is sagging.
