The city council has mandated me to install a new gate. I want to compliant but also do not want to spend enormous amount of money. At a high-level, the gate has to suitable to prevent pool access (at least 1.2 metre high, open away from the pool, auto latch to close etc). I can provide more details of course when contacted.

I have a fence near my pool. The pool inspector has said that I need to cover the top two rails of the fence with a 60- degree chamfer OR double pale the fence. Essentially, I need to ensure there are no climbable rails on the boundary fence within the 900mm diameter non-climbable zone. The pictures and "ask" from the council is attached.
