I want to install a pet door for my Labrador on my backyard sliding glass door

Need a large pet door installed into our back, timber door by Saturday morning, 03/10/2026 at the latest. Happy to purchase product from Bunnings or preferred product of Airtasker worker. We can purchase dog door beforehand and have it here at our property for installation.

Looking for an experienced carpenter/handyman to replace my front door. I have already purchased a new cricket bat-style replacement door. The new door is slightly wider and taller than the existing door, so it will need to be trimmed to fit the existing opening. The new door is also slightly thicker than the current door, so the door jamb/stops will need to be adjusted/recessed as required so the door sits correctly and flush when closed. Scope of work: * Remove existing front door * Trim new door to the correct size * Modify/adjust door jambs/stops to accommodate the thicker door * Install new hinges * Install door handle/hardware * Hang and align the door correctly I also have several other internal doors around the house that I would like replaced, so if the front door goes well, there is potential for additional work. I can provide photos of the existing door/opening and the new door if needed.

I’m looking for a carpenter or someone with strong carpentry skills to complete a few finishing jobs around the house. 1. Refit / install skirting boards There are two areas that need skirting put back on: * Bedroom with newly installed built-in wardrobes – the existing skirting was removed to accommodate the wardrobes and now needs to be cut/modified and refitted neatly around them. * Spare bedroom corner – the skirting was removed due to previous pet damage, and the carpet was pulled back. This now needs to be reinstated. I have most of the original skirting pieces that were removed, including the pieces from around the wardrobes. I also have some additional new skirting available if required. I’m looking for someone who is confident with accurate cutting, joining, measuring and fitting skirting, particularly around corners/wardrobes, and who can achieve a clean, professional finish. Please note: I will be doing all the sanding, filling and painting myself. This job is purely for the cutting, fitting and fixing of the skirting. 2. Hang a new internal door I also need a brand-new internal door hung. The door has not had the hinges/hardware cut in yet, so this will require the appropriate hinge recessing/preparation and fitting. There was previously a door in this opening, so the existing frame and previous hinge positions can be used as a guide. I already have the door and all required hardware — I just need someone experienced to measure, cut/prep and hang it properly. Ideally looking for someone with carpentry experience who takes pride in getting a neat, accurate finish.

Remove and dispose of backyard awning • Large awning attached under balcony (see photos) • Appears to be fixed to a horizontal bar with a tension cable • Needs to be safely removed and taken away (too large for hard rubbish) • May require 2 people due to size/awkwardness 2. Replace door seals (already purchased) • Remove existing screw-in door seals • Install new compact brush seals (screw-in) • Approx. 4 sets of French doors + 2 standard doors • May require cutting to size (we have a saw if needed)
