The two jobs are 1) lift the height of the fridge. Currently the clearance from floor to the top of the bottom shelf above it is 1750. I want to buy a fridge 1821 height. So maybe lift to 1900 2) remove the circles section of wood above the fireplace. I want to put a bigger tv but don't have room because of that wood.

As shown in the image, some of the slats are loose. The wood that holds the timber slat is rotten. Expecting a handyman to put something underneath and fix the rotten wooden slats to the newly added wooden piece. About 3-4 slats to fix. I am looking for a temporary solution that can last 3-4 years
