Hello, We are looking for an experienced handyman, joiner, or cabinet maker to repair a broken cabinet door at our retail store, in Rouse Hill Town Centre. The Issue: A cupboard door on one of our sales floor cabinets has completely come off. It appears one of the clip-on/slide-on European hinges has failed or broken, and staff have been unable to re-attach it correctly. The door is currently off and cannot be used, which looks unprofessional. The Job: The task is to professionally and securely re-hang the cabinet door. The scope of work will involve: 1. Assessing the condition of the door, the hinges, and the mounting plates on the cabinet frame. 2. Correctly re-attaching the door to the mounting plates. If any part of the hinge mechanism (either on the door or the frame) is broken, you will need to supply and install a new, matching hinge set. 3. Adjusting the hinges so that the door is perfectly aligned, hangs straight, and opens/closes smoothly. * Please note: The successful contractor MUST supply any necessary replacement parts, such as a new set of concealed hinges, if the current ones are found to be broken. The cost for these materials must be included in your final offer. Requirements: - MUST have experience with cabinetry repairs, particularly with installing and adjusting clip-on/European-style concealed hinges. - You must supply all your own tools AND all necessary materials (as mentioned above). - Ability to work cleanly and professionally within a live retail environment. - Public liability insurance is required. 1) I have a standard size door whose dimensions are 40X820X2040, it is natural wood and has no paint or stain or varnish on it. The door is brand new and is already installed. 2) The frames are existing ones and are cream-white in color. 3) I want the door to be stained/varnished and also the frames to be stained/varnished to match the door color. 4) The bottom of the frames have some gaps/holes in the corners and the door frame has some gaps/holes near the latch. This gap was created when we removed the old latch and installed the new one. 5)I will supply the following: Paint, Varnish, Stain. Any other small materials such as paint brush, roller, sand paper etc are to be supplied by the trades person. 6)The main goal of the project is to make sure the door and door frames are of similar colors and minor gaps are patched and sealed.
