Hi there, I am looking for a licensed and experienced carpenter to repair a damaged/rotted structural timber beam at my property in Cherrybrook. Key details of the job: 1. The sub-beam (secondary beam) size is 240mm (Height) x 45mm (Thickness). 2. The main beam has wood rot near the connection point and requires a neat, professional cut-out and timber splice/repair to restore structural integrity. 3. The right-hand side 240x45mm sub-beam MUST be safely propped (using Acro Props or proper bracing) before any cutting or removal takes place. 4. The existing white joist hanger needs to be replaced with a brand-new heavy-duty joist hanger (or split joist hanger) to suit the 240x45mm beam, secured with proper timber connector nails/screws. Please see the attached photos for the current rotted condition and the expected repair outcome. Requirements: - Must be a licensed carpenter with experience in structural timber/dry rot repairs. - Must have public liability insurance. - Must bring your own propping equipment and professional tools. Attempting to make a ramp instead of the stairs that my dog is currently using. Planning to get a plank of wood to fix along the current stairs and also will require some modifications at the bottom of the ramp. I am happy to help with the labour work as well and will buy supplies for you.
