Sink & dish washer installation.

Hi, I have an old gas heater (many many decades) that appears hard piped into the natural gas piping in my house. I'd like to remove the heater. Given I need to terminate the gas line, I'll likely just have put a domestic gas appliance plug (not sure what they are called) in its place. No re-piping is required. The new plug can go right where the copper pipe joins into the heater. Thanks.
