Make an offer Install stone fascia support onto slide-out rangehood I need an experienced handyman/metalworker to install a small stone fascia onto the front of a Mistral slide-out rangehood. This will be so it will match the benchtop in my kitchen, The stone fascia is approximately 595 mm wide × 39 mm high × 20 mm thick. The job involves (all items below supplied ready to go including equipment): * Measure and cut a 25 × 20 × 1.6 mm aluminium angle to fit the rangehood fascia * Dry-fit and confirm the rangehood still opens/closes freely * Mark and drill holes through the aluminium angle and thin metal rangehood fascia * Rivet the angle securely using large-flange 3.2 mm rivets (supplied) * Bond the stone fascia onto the supported angle/rangehood face using Sikaflex-252 (supplied) * Align, brace and tape the stone securely while the adhesive cures (clamp supplied) I will paint the visible part of the aluminium angle before the task. I have already purchased the angle, rivet gun, rivets, metal drill bit, Sikaflex, sandpaper, cleaning supplies and other materials. No electrical work is required. The rangehood must be unplugged and care taken to avoid the runners, wiring and moving parts when drilling. Please only apply if you have experience drilling and riveting thin sheet metal.
