Install of a Westinghouse slideout rangehood into new kitchen cabinetry. We would like to duct the rangehood out the external wall directly behind where it will be installed. There is no existing ducting from a previous range (current range recirculates). The kitchen is on the second floor of a raised Queenslander, meaning that the external ducting point will be quite high (see images included). We are hopeful this can be done by ladder without need for scaffolding. You would need to supply the ducting kit/wall kit. New cabinetry will be installed on the week beginning 2 November, so we will be ready for range install either later that week or around 9 Nov.

I have a unit, which is an old motel. As such it has no fixed cooking facilities. I would like to install a fixed ceramic cooktop and understand that it cannot be plugged or wired to the 240 V wall plug. (because the cooktop draws more power than the wall plug) Can the fuse for this wall plug be increased to allow the ceramic cooktop to be wired? I’ve been told in the past by an electrician that they could not install a fuse for a fixed cooktop. (which confuses me as there is other units in this motel block that have fixed cooking facilities now) The switchboard is approximately 30 m from my unit.

My Samsung washing machine drain hose leaks where it connects to the barbed spigot on the sink trap. The hose end doesn't fit properly over the barb, so the connection isn't sealing.
