Removal of gas stove/oven prior to 04/05/2026.

The ignition spark things on all four elements )burners)all came on when I turned the oven and they won’t turn off. No gas leak but the sparks keep coming unless it’s turned off at the wall.

The gas cooktop (Miele) keeps ticking until we turn the power off.

I have a 5-burner Smeg gas cooktop (middle burner is oval-shaped) with a continuous sparking problem. The issue started after cleaning about 2 years ago. Since then, when the power is turned on, all burners keep sparking continuously without stopping. To manage this, I’ve been turning off the power at the switch and using a lighter to ignite the burners. Gas is working fine and all burners function normally when lit manually. The issue seems to be related to the ignition system, likely a faulty ignition switch or spark module.
