My gas cooktop’s (bottom right burner)ignition system is continuously clicking (sparking)every 2 secs even when all the knobs are off. One of the ignition wires was constantly triggering, so I cut the yellow ignition lead, but the module still keeps sparking. It seems like either: one of the burner ignition switches (microswitch) is stuck, the ignition wiring is shorted, or the ignition module itself is faulty. I need someone who knows gas cooktop ignition systems to: give me advice how to eliminate the problem. I do not mind disabling this one particular burner as I never use it anyway. The cooktop is already opened up, so access is easy. Looking for someone experienced with appliance repair or gas stove ignition systems.
