I need a licensed electrician to install 1 new induction cooktop and 1 new underbench electric oven at my home in Athelstone SA 5076. This is a hard-wired installation. I would like the electrician to first inspect my existing wiring and setup, as I am not sure whether the current cable, breaker, circuit or isolator meet current requirements. As shown in the photo, the existing wiring appears to come out from an internal brick wall partition as one brown cable, then goes into a junction box, where it is split into two white cables. One white cable is connected to the old cooktop and the other is connected to the old oven. Please let me know whether this existing setup can still be used, or whether any upgrade, new circuit, isolator or other electrical work is required before installation. Please provide a quote for labour and any extra materials separately. Licensed electrician only. Invoice and certificate of compliance required.

I’m looking for a qualified appliance technician to inspect and repair my Smeg gas cooktop (model CIR93AXS3). Issue details: • The largest burner ignites normally. • However, when releasing the knob (even after holding it down for an extended period), the flame goes out. • A “click” sound can be heard from beneath the knob at the moment it shuts off. • This mainly happens during the first use of the day (cold start). • After multiple re-ignitions, the burner tends to stay lit. • The flame fully reaches the thermocouple. Based on preliminary research, it may be a failing thermocouple or possibly the gas safety valve.
