At the moment, the electric cooktop and the oven are both connected to the same 32-amp circuit at the switchboard. I need this assessed to confirm whether it’s suitable for induction, or if a new dedicated circuit/breaker needs to be added. The old cooktop has already been removed and the existing 240V single-phase supply cable (active/neutral/earth) is accessible in the bench cutout. The new cooktop has a standard terminal block with L1, L2, N, Earth and requires a single-phase install with L1/L2 bridged, as per the manufacturer’s diagram.
