Checked all the filters and we have not found a foreign object causing this so thinking it is an internal issue. Need licensed technician to resolve this. Issue details: • The largest burner ignites normally. • However, when releasing the knob (even after holding it down for an extended period), the flame goes out. • A “click” sound can be heard from beneath the knob at the moment it shuts off. • This mainly happens during the first use of the day (cold start). • After multiple re-ignitions, the burner tends to stay lit. • The flame fully reaches the thermocouple. Based on preliminary research, it may be a failing thermocouple or possibly the gas safety valve. I’m seeking someone experienced with gas cooktops (preferably Smeg) to diagnose and replace the faulty component if required.
