Hi, I need help to unscrew the drain filter cap on my NEFF washing machine (V5340X0GB/04). I turned it a few turns so it is half out, but is now stuck and won't pull out anymore and is very stiff now. The machine is otherwise in perfect working order, so if I run it, it will leak from the filter. I'm looking for someone with good practical/mechanical skills to help free it. On youtube a lot of people just wiggle the filter cap, and are careful not to break it, or tip the washer over and pull the pump out and clear the filter cavity from the inside. I don't want to force it and break something, but also it is very hard to turn now, and seems to be a common problem. For example, they recommend clamping the filter cap between two bits of wood and turning rather than pliers which may snap the plastic off. It's an integrated appliance, fitted under the kitchen counter. My main goal is to find the least invasive solution without a big hullabaloo of pulling it out unless absolutely necessary. The tub has already been drained and the front kick flap panel is off to provide access. As it is fully working this isn't a repair job, but some tools may be needed to unscrew things if absolutely necessary. I'm looking for someone who has experience with these kinds of fiddly jobs. Had ribbon accidentally been washed with the clothes. Most of it was out with the clothes, but some part had probably stuck in the drum as it spins hard and can hear the resistance. Suddenly spin cycle became extremely loud.
