I would like to book someone to be standing by for the afternoon and then, when the delivery time is confirmed, come to help me move the delivery from the front to the rear of the property. There will be some pieces that are 1.5m x 3.2m so it will involve some heavy lifting with me. I can provide gloves but you should wear sturdy footwear.

I have a sofa that was delivered but the box wasn't fitting through the entrance as the door does not open entirely. I am moving home and I am simply looking for someone to come and be a second helper with myself, loading personal items into a van I have hired. This will mostly be standard moving boxes, some plants, musical instruments etc, but there will be some more bulky items, such as a light-weight slimline piano, some chest of drawers, maybe some wardrobes, and a front door (which is heavy-ish and definitely requires 2 people). I just need 1 additional person as I will be the 2nd person, and together we will be able to load these into the van smoothly. Please note: The van is already supplied, and it has a hydraulic tail lift so that larger items are more easily placed into the back of the van. This would ordinarily be a 1 hour job, however, since I live 8 floors up (which is not a problem as there are 2 working elevators) this does slow down the process somewhat, which is why I factoring in 2 - 3 hours.
