The previous owner had installed the extractor fan but not connected it to the external vent so I just need it to be connected.

I have a serene life portable air con unit, 14000 BTU, it cost a lot of money and only had for 6 weeks and it’s already messing up, with the cool setting it will go from cold to hot and it’s started to make all different loud noises as if it’s about to blow up. I’ve cleaned the filters. The hose has no kink in it. We did try a longer hose so it could fit out the window without coming out but didn’t realise it was an insulated tube which may have messed it up.

It appears that either the relay or compressor have stopped working. It's a Black & Decker BXAC40006GB

have a GoodHome portable air conditioning unit that requires diagnosis and repair. The unit still cools the room effectively, but as soon as the compressor kicks in it develops a loud rattling noise. We’ve had to place something underneath the right-hand side of the unit to reduce the vibration, which helps slightly, but it’s not a proper fix. I suspect it may be something relatively straightforward, such as loose mounting bolts, a loose bracket or casing, worn anti-vibration mounts, or a component that requires adjustment. I’d like someone to inspect the unit, identify the cause of the rattling, and provide a quote for repair. Hi, I need a local handyman to help finish setting up my portable air conditioner for a UK tilt-and-turn window. The AC unit is already completely unboxed. I just need you to: 1. Stick the adhesive Velcro tape and fabric zip-seal around the window frame. (I have a steady chair you can stand on to reach the top). 2. Twist and click the plastic exhaust hose onto the back of the AC unit. 3. Poke the hose through the fabric zip, tighten the zippers around it, and plug the unit into the wall socket to make sure it runs fine. I have the fabric kit and the AC ready to go. No tools or drilling required, just scissors to cut the tape to size. Should take about 10-15 minutes total.
