To start the washing machine removal process, run a cycle using white vinegar or bleach to get rid of any residue. Then, pull the machine out of its area. Please turn off the water and disconnect it from the water supply. Next, disconnect it from the power supply, wrapping the cord securely with tape or string. Finally, wipe down the outside of the machine and install washing machine transit bolts. From here, your Tasker will take care of removing your old washing machine.
You can contact your local council to inquire about recycling facilities for your old washing machine. Some retailers or department stores may also offer waste disposal services and can collect your old unit when they deliver a new one. However you choose to dispose of this appliance, you can book a Tasker to collect your old washing machine and transport it for you.
If you think your washing machine is still worth saving, you can hire a Tasker to troubleshoot and repair it. To do this, visit the washing machine repair and installation page. These appliance repair professionals have also been rated and reviewed by customers in your area.
If you need to get rid of more than just your washing machine, you can hire a Tasker to do a complete house clearance, cleaning, or rubbish removal job.
Yes; you can find Taskers to handle more than just old washing machine removal. They can take away other white goods (like fridges, tumble dryers, air conditioning units, and cookers). Some Taskers can even remove soil, rubble, or scrap metal. Taskers on Airtasker also offer prices that are easy on your budget and tailored to your needs.

What do washing machine removal services include?
Disposing of your old washing machine can be quite a challenge, if only because it’s not something that’s done every day. It’s not a simple matter of throwing out the trash, after all. You may be wondering if you can sell, recycle, or donate it. You may also wonder where you can safely (and legally) dispose of it.
When you hire a Tasker to take care of washing machine removal, you get an expert who can help you navigate the entire process of getting rid of your old appliance.
Removing your washing machine
Though this may vary from Tasker to Tasker, they may be able to help you prepare for the removal process as well - making sure the tub is clean, the exterior is wiped down, and that the cords and hoses are disconnected and secured. Feel free to ask your Tasker about how to prepare before they pick up your old washing machine.
When your Tasker arrives, they’ll have the necessary equipment and transport for removing your washing machine. You won’t need to provide any tools or hire a vehicle yourself.
Transporting the washing machine
Once your old washing machine is loaded into the truck or van, the Tasker will transport it to your chosen destination. This could mean your town’s solid waste management facility, a recycling plant, or the manufacturer. Just specify your destination in the task post.
If you’re unfamiliar with where to send your broken washing machine, your Tasker may be able to share several options with you as well.
Old washing machine removals options
You can choose to either recycle or donate your old washing machine. If it’s in good working condition, you can give it to a low-income family who can still use it.
You can do this through a trusted organisation like the Salvation Army or Red Cross.
If your washing machine is no longer operational, you can have it recycled by a waste management facility. Some manufacturers and retailers may also accept old appliances, since recycling old parts is more cost-effective. Also, washing machines can be hazardous to leave in landfills, so it’s best to ask a specialist about how to dispose of it safely.
