I need help getting a new L-shaped sofa into my first-floor flat in Manchester. The staircase is too narrow, so the sofa can’t go up through the stairs. I’d like it lifted through the first-floor Juliet balcony doors instead — there’s a clear driveway space directly beneath for easy access with a hoist or lifting straps. The sofa is packed in two boxes, each roughly 170 × 97 × 61 cm, and we’re happy to have the balcony railing temporarily unscrewed or one of the uPVC doors lifted off the hinges if needed for clearance. Please confirm if you have experience with sofa or furniture hoisting/lifting through balconies or windows and can handle this safely. Ideally looking for someone available today 3RD November or tomorrow.
