I have to get a washing machine to a first floor flat in Peckham, London. However, the front door access to the flat is not wide enough to carry the washing machine through the door and up the stairs. One of the easiest solutions is to hoist the washing machine from the street/pavement to the first storey flat roof, then from there the window of the flat opens up more than wide enough for the washing machine to get through and into the flat.
