I want to add a separate lock to my bedroom door. The setup I’d like is: • Key from the outside • Thumbturn/twist from the inside • Keep my existing door handle exactly as it is (don’t want to swap handles). I’ll need you to recommend the right lock/deadbolt to buy for this job (so it matches the door and looks neat). Once I’ve bought it, I’d like you to come and fit it. For as long as I can remember, it is a very difficult challenge placing my keys into the lock of our front door in order to open the door. It requires a lot of force trying to push the key fully into the keyhole in order to be able to open the door. This also creates a lot of noise that is very frustrating if someone is trying to enter the house early morning or late evenings. Keys are meant to go in very smoothly and without noise. Please advise.
