Supply & Run: 1x dedicated run of Solid Copper Cat6A S/FTP (Shielded/Foiled) cable. 2. Termination: Must use Shielded Metal Keystone Jacks at both ends. 3. Standards: T568A termination. Cable shielding MUST be bonded to the metal jack housing for ground continuity. 4. Interference Management: The cable must be run at least 50mm away from any 240V power lines in the ceiling/wall cavities. 5. Testing: Verify the connection with a shielded wire-map tester. 6. Compliance: Must provide a TCA1 Form with an ACMA Registration Number upon completion.

We’re looking for a licensed electrician or ACMA-registered data cabler to install a single Cat6 Ethernet cable from our house to a detached studio (approx. 25 m). Scope of work: • Run Cat6 underground-rated data cable from the modem location in the house to the studio • Data cable through the roof space, then exit externally • Install surface conduit along the side of the house / fence (route already used for power) • Terminate Cat6 cable in the studio • Supply and install one Wi-Fi access point in the studio Power is already installed in the studio. Access is clear and photos can be provided. Simple residential setup only — no managed or enterprise networking. Please confirm your licence/registration. Budget is indicative — happy to discuss if scope is clear.

To set up three wifi zones and arrange for a direct fibre connection to be set up by NBN into the house. Currently the Telstra connection is working intermittently. A NBN box (FTTP) was installed in my garage. However, my router is in the kitchen on the 1st floor. Before the upgrade, this was a FTTC setup where the router was using the existing copper phone line outlet in the kitchen, which is also a central location. Would it be possible for a cable installer to route an Ethernet cable between the NBN box and the kitchen? I have attached a floor plan with marking for better understanding how things are positioned.
