The exact installation process depends on the recommendations of the manufacturer, but the service usually includes:
- Disassembly or lifting of existing floors (if needed)
- Cutting of mesh if they appear too loose for the existing subfloor
- Rolling out of heating mats
- Fixing them on the surface using double-sided tapes or glues (usually attached on your mesh)
- Installing of temperature sensors and connecting them to a thermostat
- Connecting your underfloor heating to the main electrical source
Wet underfloor heating installation
Wet heating systems feature a series of pipes that are commonly connected to a central boiler, although some models can work with solar panels or heat pumps. Once you've set the temperature on your thermostat, the boiler will start heating a certain amount of water and pump them throughout the pipes. The heat energy from the pipeworks will emanate across the room, from the underfloor up to the ceiling. Installing your wet underfloor heating might take longer than electric underfloor heating since it requires a bit of plumbing work. While Taskers are more familiar with fitting them for new commercial or residential builds, there are also plenty of plumbers who can install them in existing rooms. The installation process involves:
- Layout designing (if needed)
- Securing the manifold in place
- Fixing pipeworks in place
- Connecting your heating pipes to the manifold

- Checking of flow rates
