Top Floor Repair related questions
If your floor has minor scratches or imperfections such as peels or warps, these can be repaired, especially if the damage is only in a certain area. But if there are deeper scratches and significant damage to the rest of the floor, such as soft spots in your wooden floor or cracks in your concrete, these may need further inspection. You may need a floor replacement, depending on the extent of the damage.
No. When you book a Tasker, they can come to your location carrying the required tools such as repair kits, discs, adhesive syringe, putty knife, and other equipment. You can also ask your Tasker to drop by a local hardware store to buy whatever is needed. If you have any tools on hand and prefer to use them, you can also let your Tasker know.
You can, but it can take up a lot of your time and energy, and you might not even be sure if it’s done the right way. When you hire an expert, you can expect that they are equipped with years of knowledge and experience to be able to get it done correctly the first time, saying you money in the long run!
Generally, it can take three to five days to repair your flooring. It can also depend on your flooring type as well as the size and extent of the damage. Your Tasker can try to get the repair job done within your desired amount of time. Consult with them about your ideal floor repair timeline so that they can work within your preferred schedule!
After the repair, you can walk on your floor roughly 24 hours after they've been fully cured. Of course, you still have to be careful because, during this time, your newly-repaired floor can only accept light foot traffic. Bulky furniture, pets, and heavy foot traffic can be allowed after 48 hours. You can talk to your Tasker about your floors' aftercare to make sure the repair lasts a long time.
The best way to avoid permanent damage to your floor is by having them cleaned and maintained regularly. As soon as a spillage occurs, make sure to dab or wipe the area immediately with a damp cloth to prevent permanent floor stains. You can also invest in rugs and furniture pads to avoid scratches, cracks, peels, and other unsightly imperfections.

What do floor repair services include?
Floor repair services involve fixing and restoring your floors to its pristine condition! This can include inspecting and assessing the damaged areas, replacing those portions with identical material, and sealing your floors to make it look brand new. You can also have your floors deep cleaned for a completely fresh look! Whether you're getting a new room constructed or an old one renovated, Taskers can take care of your floors through the following:
Concrete floor repair
Concrete floors are tough and durable, making them perfect for high-traffic and high-moisture areas like kitchens and bathrooms. However, it’s inevitable for them to develop chips and cracks and cause further wear and tear when left unattended. That's why it's important to get a concrete floor crack repair as soon as you notice damage on your concrete floors. Taskers can provide a permanent fix to cracks and chips, rather than just injecting epoxy mortar or filling the surface.
Once your Tasker has repaired your mortar floor, why not have your kitchen remodelled to match your new flooring? Or get your bathroom renovated to give your home a much-needed refresh!
Laminate floor repair
It’s common for laminate floors to peak, creak, buckle, and show other signs of damage. If you encounter these problems with your laminate floor, Taskers can readily help you out. Laminate floor scratch repairs mean restoring and refilling the damaged areas with materials that match your flooring. You don’t have to worry about the colour and the pattern either, because they can match those for you, removing all the guesswork from your end. Your Tasker can also hide scratches, chips, and other imperfections on your floor paint.
Vinyl floor repair
While vinyl flooring may look aesthetically pleasing, it can be damaged easily because it's a thin kind of flooring. Bulges, holes, and splits can certainly be an eyesore, but it's easy to get a Tasker to fix those issues for you! They can repair uneven vinyl floors, restore those that are already peeling up, and replace permanently stained or damaged vinyl sheets, planks, or tiles. Getting your vinyl flooring repaired ensures you that their beauty is restored with better durability!
Caravan floor repair
When your caravan floor makes noises when walked over, it may be because it’s already spongy and showing signs of delamination. This happens when the glue holding the different layers of your floor starts to wear off. It’s common to have this problem, especially if your caravan floor is in a high-traffic or high-moisture area. Have the delamination repaired as soon as possible to prevent further spreading! Taskers can refill your floors with a special adhesive and repair damaged areas as needed. You can enjoy your newly-fixed caravan floor in no time!

Wood laminate damage from heat There’s a heat mark on a laminate kitchen worktop caused by a warm baking tray. The clear top layer has become visibly damaged — it looks like slight bubbling or surface melting along the rim of the tray. The affected area is contained and around the size of an A5 sheet. Looking for someone experienced in repairing laminate surfaces — ideally able to fill, re-texture and recolour the area to blend it back in. Would like it done as soon as possible.
