I would highly recommend Gary for any tasks you might have. He managed to resurrect my water damaged oak flooring to an unbelievable standard. Not an easy job, but he completed with next to no sanding dust. All left very clean and I will absolutely be using him again. He even did an extra little job whilst he was waiting for floor to dry. Thank you so much Gary

Top Floor Repair related questions

If your floor has minor scratches or imperfections such as peels or warps, these can be repaired, especially if the damage is only in a certain area. But if there are deeper scratches and significant damage to the rest of the floor, such as soft spots in your wooden floor or cracks in your concrete, these may need further inspection. You may need a floor replacement, depending on the extent of the damage.

No. When you book a Tasker, they can come to your location carrying the required tools such as repair kits, discs, adhesive syringe, putty knife, and other equipment. You can also ask your Tasker to drop by a local DIY store to buy whatever is needed. If you have any tools on hand and prefer to use them, you can also let your Tasker know.

You can, but it can take up a lot of your time and energy, and you might not even be sure if it’s done the right way. When you hire a professional, you can expect that they are equipped with years of knowledge and experience to be able to get it done correctly the first time, saving you money in the long run!

Generally, it can take three to five days to repair your flooring. It can also depend on your flooring type as well as the size and extent of the damage. Your Tasker can try to get the repair job done within your desired amount of time. Consult with them about your ideal floor repair timeline so that they can work within your preferred schedule!

After the repair, you can walk on your floor roughly 24 hours after it’s fully cured. Of course, you still have to be careful because, during this time, your newly-repaired floor can only accept light foot traffic. Bulky furniture, pets, and heavy foot traffic can be allowed after 48 hours. You can talk to your Tasker about your floor’s aftercare to make sure the repair lasts a long time.

The best way to avoid permanent damage to your floor is by having them cleaned and maintained regularly. As soon as a spillage occurs, make sure to dab or wipe the area immediately with a damp cloth to prevent permanent floor stains. You can also invest in rugs and furniture pads to avoid scratches, cracks, peels, and other unsightly imperfections.

What do floor repair services include?

Floor repair services involve fixing and restoring your floors to its pristine condition! This can include inspecting and assessing the damaged areas, replacing those portions with identical material, and sealing your floors to make it look brand new. You can also have your floors deep cleaned for a completely fresh look! Whether you're getting a new room constructed or an old one renovated, Taskers can take care of your floors through the following:

Concrete floor repair

Concrete floors are tough and durable, making them perfect for high-traffic and high-moisture areas like kitchens and bathrooms. However, it’s inevitable for them to develop chips and cracks and cause further wear and tear when left unattended. That's why it's important to get a concrete floor crack repair as soon as you notice damage on your concrete floors. Taskers can provide a permanent fix to cracks and chips, rather than just injecting epoxy mortar or filling the surface.

Once your Tasker has repaired your mortar floor, why not have your kitchen remodelled to match your new flooring? Or get your bathroom renovated to give your home a much-needed refresh!

Laminate floor repair

It’s common for laminate floors to peak, creak, buckle, and show other signs of damage. If you encounter these problems with your laminate floor, Taskers can readily help you out. Laminate floor scratch repairs mean restoring and refilling the damaged areas with materials that match your flooring. You don’t have to worry about the colour and the pattern either, because they can match those for you, removing all the guesswork from your end. Your Tasker can also hide scratches, chips, and other imperfections on your floor paint.

Vinyl floor repair

While vinyl flooring may look aesthetically pleasing, it can be damaged easily because it's a thin kind of flooring. Bulges, holes, and splits can certainly be an eyesore, but it's easy to get a Tasker to fix those issues for you! They can repair uneven vinyl floors, restore those that are already peeling up, and replace permanently stained or damaged vinyl sheets, planks, or tiles. Getting your vinyl flooring repaired ensures you that their beauty is restored with better durability!

Caravan floor repair

When your caravan floor makes noises when walked over, it may be because it’s already spongy and showing signs of delamination. This happens when the glue holding the different layers of your floor starts to wear off. It’s common to have this problem, especially if your caravan floor is in a high-traffic or high-moisture area. Have the delamination repaired as soon as possible to prevent further spreading! Taskers can refill your floors with a special adhesive and repair damaged areas as needed. You can enjoy your newly-fixed caravan floor in no time!

Repair Water-Damaged Swollen Laminate Flooring

£200

Croydon, Greater London

4th Apr 2026

I need an experienced Tasker to repair water-damaged laminate flooring caused by a washing machine leak. Issue: Approximately 20 swollen/buckled planks plus the area around the bottom/perimeter of the kitchen island. The click-lock laminate has raised edges and height differences, mainly along the kitchen back wall facing the living room and under/around the island base. I have already stopped the leak, removed standing water, and dried the area. Work required: Carefully remove baseboards along the kitchen wall. Lift and replace the ~20 damaged planks, starting from the wall edge. Inspect subfloor and ensure it's dry. Carefully cut and fit new planks around the kitchen island base (without fully moving the heavy island if possible). Reinstall baseboards neatly and leave proper expansion gaps. You can supply materials. Please quote your total price (labour + any materials). Experience with laminate water damage repairs is preferred. Flexible timing – ideally within the next 1-2 weeks. Photos attached for reference. Happy to answer questions!

Lay down bathroom laminate flooring and fix bath panel

£120

South Norwood, Greater London, SE25

16th Mar 2026

I have some laminate flooring that has been mistakenly cut incorrectly in one section, and as a result doesn't quite fit around the toilet basin in the room - but we also have some off-cuts and I *believe* it should be possible to lay down the flooring in two parts (most likely with with some adhesive to secure it). One part of the bath panel has also been fitted on a wonk as well and could do with being fixed, or otherwise made good. The last thing we would need is some sealant to be set down where the flooring meets the bath/shower to protect leakage.

Repair Floorboards

£150

Kingsland, Greater London, E8

22nd Feb 2026

I need to do a temporary repair on 2 floorboards in my bathroom. I want to keep the original floorboards but they have a crack. The recommendation from the old owner - who is a builder but lives overseas, says to put a brace understand the floorboards to stablise them. He said should be relatively easy. To remove the 2 floorboards, temporarily move the toilet basin to access, brace then return The floorboards are attached with - Bullet Hole Screws The toilet has 2 screws toilet and would need to be moved, water stopped The job has to be Wednesday as I am travelling before and afterwards. I can be home all day, ideally done during the day in case we need wood from Leyland - they need to be open and they are across the road

Brilliant job. Super communicative. On time, gave me clear options and choices on how to repair and job done super efficiently too. Really happy!
