Need to organise blind cleaning? Cleaning blinds can be tricky, especially if your blinds have lots of small surfaces and/or moving parts. Hiring a professional can save you time, while ensuring the best possible result. Professional blind cleaning goes beyond dusting to deep clean and restore your blinds, helping them look their best, and ensuring they last for many more years.
Hire a professional blind cleaner on Airtasker to take all the stress out of blind cleaning. You can find cleaners experienced in cleaning all types of blinds, from Venetian blinds and roller blinds to Roman blinds and timber blinds. Your blind cleaning professional will wipe away dust, banish musty odours, and leave your blinds looking and smelling good as new!
All of Airtasker’s blind cleaners come covered under our insurance policies, so you can hire with confidence.
Hire the very blind cleaning professional you can afford.
Most blinds need regular dusting with a proper clean every 6-12 months. If you live in a particularly dusty area (for example, near a mine) your blinds will need more frequent cleans (every few months).
The best way to clean your blinds will depend on the material they’re made of and whether they’re stained. Common methods include dusting, wiping, ultrasonic cleaning, and vacuuming.
The cost of blind cleaning is usually between $70-$150 for tasks booked through Airtasker. The exact price could be higher or lower depending on the size of the blinds and whether they need a standard or deep clean.

Blind cleaning services range from cleaning your blinds to restoring them so they look brand new again. You can find cleaners experienced in both horizontal and vertical blind cleaning, across a whole range of materials. Here’s what you can expect from some of the most common blind cleaning services:
Venetian blinds need regular cleaning because they have so many surfaces that collect dust. Your cleaner will start by confirming what your blinds are made of - whether wood, aluminium, or PCV. This will help them determine the best cleaning methods and detergents to effectively clean without causing damage. Next, they’ll wipe away dust from each slat of your blinds. Your cleaner may use a damp microfibre cloth or they may use a specially designed dusting tool to cover multiple slats at once. After removing the dust, your cleaner will check for any stains and mould, before using a suitable detergent to get your blinds sparkly clean. Finally, they’ll check the cords of your blinds for any wear and tear, and advise you if any parts need replacing.
Your cleaner will first extend and inspect your roller blinds to make sure they can be cleaned without taking them down. They’ll start by wiping down both sides of the blinds to remove dust, insects, and light marks. If your blinds need a deep cleaning to remove stains or stubborn dirt, your cleaner may remove them from the bracket. They’ll soak them in a warm bath with liquid laundry detergent to help break down the dirt, before spot-cleaning with a sponge to remove marks. Finally, they’ll rinse the blinds, dry them, and re-hang them. During the process, your cleaner will also check the chain and mechanism and will be sure to let you know if any parts need to be replaced.
Roman blind cleaning usually starts with a gentle vacuum using an upholstery attachment. This removes surface dirt. Next, your cleaner will spot clean to remove any stains or mark. They’ll choose a cleaning solution that’s suitable for the fabric or materials used in your blinds. If your blinds need deep cleaning, your cleaner may remove them, but generally, roman blinds can be cleaned while still hanging. Once they’re finished cleaning, your cleaner will leave the blinds extended and your windows open to help speed up drying times.
Timber blinds can’t get too wet, so your cleaner will be careful to choose timber-friendly cleaning methods. Wooden blind cleaning techniques will depend on the type of blinds, but generally, your cleaner will start by dusting all surfaces using a feather duster or dry microfibre cloth, moving from top to bottom. Your cleaner may also use an oil-based product to condition and shine your wooden blinds.

Hi All, I need to have my kitchen and toilet blinds cleaned. They are both horizontal aluminium blinds.
Andrei arrived earlier than expected and asked me if that was ok. I agreed and he was very polite when he arrived. He immediately showed me his ID, but I could tell that he is a good person as he has good energy. The blinds came up brand new and he went over and beyond his requirements as he cleaned my windows in the kitchen and toilet both inside and out. He also ensured to clean up after himself without being asked. I have found a gem in this person and I will continue to use his services. Stay safe and blessed Andrei until we meet again. Thank you Deborah
