What does a balcony cleaning services include?
Balcony cleaning usually includes tidying, furniture cleaning, floor cleaning, and balustrade cleaning. Depending on your balcony setup, here are the steps your balcony cleaner will take:
Step 1: Tidying and sweeping
Your balcony clean will start with a quick tidy up to remove any rubbish (like empty pot plants and last week’s empty beverage bottles). Your cleaner will move all loose furniture and items to the side, ready for cleaning. Then they’ll sweet up any dirt and leaves, being careful to avoid spreading dust to other balconies (if you’re in an apartment or shared building).
Step 2: Pressure washing
Once everything’s tidy, your cleaner will wash all the surfaces, usually with a high-pressure hose. They’ll clean the tiles and floor surfaces, plus the balustrade/railings, windows, sliding doors, and walls. If you live near the ocean and get ocean breezes or spray, they may need to remove salt deposits from all exposed surfaces. Or perhaps you have some friendly local wildlife and need bird poop cleaned off your balcony. In this case, they may start by using a cleaning solution and a thick brush to remove stubborn marks and built-up deposits before rinsing with the pressure washer.
Step 3: Furniture cleaning
Now it’s time for your cleaner to focus on all the stuff that sits on your balcony. They’ll wipe down your outdoor setting or furniture with a damp cloth, as well as removing any cobwebs. If your furniture is wooden, they may treat it with furniture polish or oil to help protect the wood from the elements.
Step 4: Putting it all back together
Once everything’s clean and dry, your cleaner will put all your furniture back, including mats, tables, chairs, and pot plants. They’ll even water your pot plants (if they’re dry) so you don’t have to worry.Â
