Hi, I have a Solar Hot Water System which I purchased 7 years ago. The tank is on the ground and the panels are on the roof. Never had any problems until 2 years ago- the hot water wasn’t coming, so when there was sunshine then we would get hot water but then it would run out and go lukewarm/cold, seemed like it wasn’t switching over to electric. Got told it needed servicing as it had been 5 years back then. I had someone come and clean the solar panels on the roof, replace the anode, thermostat, element and tpr valve. After that the hot water was working whether it was sunny or cloudy- had no problem. Now 2 years later the same issue is occurring. When the sun is out we get hot water until we have used it all which is pretty quick because there is 7 of us in the house and then it goes to lukewarm and then cold. When I pull the relief valve on the tank then the boiling hot water comes out. I had a “free call-out plumber” come and say “it could be the tempering valve that needs replacing”. He probably said that because it was one of the things that didn’t get replaced 2 years ago. I’m looking for someone who is willing to either come out and do a diagnostic test for free and tell me the problem and not charge me an arm and a leg. Or also looking for someone to give me the price on doing the diagnostic test if you can’t do for free and the price of replacing the tempering valve and cleaning the solar panels on the roof. Or looking for someone to give me suggestions of what you think it could be. Sometimes there are plumbers/hot water specialists that are in or live in my area of Glenfield 2167 NSW and wouldn’t mind popping by to do a free diagnostic test. This is for my mum’s house, she is a senior pensioner and not working so help would be greatly appreciated.

Looking for a licensed plumber to inspect and repair my electric hot water system. System: AquaMAX 250L electric hot water heater (manufactured Aug 2024). Issue: Water is only getting warm, not properly hot. Suspected causes could be thermostat, heating element, tempering valve, or electrical supply.

We have an electric hot water tank (Dux Marathon) located in my garage, and water has been leaking from the side for the past few days. We are not sure if it’s coming from the pressure relief valve or the tank itself. My hot water (Heat Pump) is not working.The Hot water switch is tripping off. Not sure if it is related to circuit issue or Hot water Element issue. Hence, looking for sparky who also has an idea about hot water system (Heat Pump). If you do not charge call out fee to check the issue, please let me know.

Hot water not working in shower and kitchen taps. Tank not powered by gas. Only been replaced almost 3 years ago. Need urgently done as end of lease coming up.

Hot / Cold water taps in a wash basin are not working. Hot water tap is too tight and probably need washer replacement and seat resurfacing. Cold Water tap is not having water even in the on position. Probably tap spindle got disengaged from cartridge. Need to inspect and repair. Bottom cap / cover of both taps are really tight. Our place is 5 min drive from Bunnings, if some materials to be procured.
