Out of our three bathrooms, we have one that occasionally smells of sewage. There is no obvious indication that there is a blocked pipe (i.e. the toilet functions normally). To narrow down the cause, we blocked all drains (i.e. shower, floor and sink) but despite it, the smell continues. The cistern got cleaned as well, which does not seem to be the cause of it either. There appears to be a vent pipe at the other end of the house and I wonder whether there is some blockage that prevents the vent pipe to do its job.
