Oil and Filter Assessment
Upon arriving, your mechanic will first inspect your vehicle before draining the old engine oil and replacing the filter. This process involves starting your car and warming up your motor oil. Then, they will lift your vehicle to locate the drain plug and place an oil pan underneath while draining out the old motor oil. Â
Oil and Filter Replacement
After draining out the old engine oil, your mechanic will proceed with removing the old filter using a wrench. Then, they will put a small amount of engine oil to the gasket to avoid leaks. Once they replace the oil filter with a new one, they will pour in the correct grade and amount of oil suited for your vehicle using a funnel to avoid leaks.
Final Inspection and Testing
After placing the new oil and filter, your mechanic will do a final inspection by starting the engine and letting it run it for a few minutes. This step will help ensure that the new motor oil is circulating smoothly and that there are no signs of leakage around the drain plug and filter. Hi, I’m looking for a mobile mechanic or diesel mechanic to help fix an issue with my 2015 Toyota HiAce diesel van. I recently replaced the diesel fuel filter, reconnected everything and primed the system, but the van now won’t start. It initially started for a few seconds and then turned off. There appears to be a fuel leak coming from the outgoing fuel connection/fitting on the diesel filter housing when priming. I need someone to inspect it, fix the leak/connection issue, prime the system properly and get the van running again.
Talal was great to deal with. He replaced the diesel filter housing on my Toyota Hiace and got the issue sorted. Good communication, easy to organise, and happy with the work. Thanks mate.
