Oil and Filter Assessment
Upon arriving, your mechanic will first inspect your vehicle before draining the old engine oil and replacing the filter. This process involves starting your car and warming up your motor oil. Then, they will lift your vehicle to locate the drain plug and place an oil pan underneath while draining out the old motor oil. Â
Oil and Filter Replacement
After draining out the old engine oil, your mechanic will proceed with removing the old filter using a wrench. Then, they will put a small amount of engine oil to the gasket to avoid leaks. Once they replace the oil filter with a new one, they will pour in the correct grade and amount of oil suited for your vehicle using a funnel to avoid leaks.
Final Inspection and Testing
After placing the new oil and filter, your mechanic will do a final inspection by starting the engine and letting it run it for a few minutes. This step will help ensure that the new motor oil is circulating smoothly and that there are no signs of leakage around the drain plug and filter. Hi, I have a Jaguar XF 2013 2.2D diesel with an oil feed line leak (likely turbo oil feed line). Oil is leaking and due to this the ECO mode / start-stop is not engaging. Need the engine oil cooler on a 2006 xtrail T30 seals replaced. Scope, remove hoses clips undo middle bolt remove and replace main seal and cap, replace centre bolt seal and reinstall the hoses. I will supply replacement kit and centre bolt seal
Kieran was very easy to deal with and his work was first rate. He re-built and oil cooler on a 2006 Xtrail for me, replacing the seals as opposed to simply throwing out the old one and repacing the whole thing. I have a reasonable level of mechaical knowledge and I feel he is a trustworth mechanic. I will definately use Kieran again for other work.
