We have a retaining wall that has fallen over and need a repair as soon as possible. We are looking for quotes and suggestions for how to get it properly repaired. So far we were considering repairing it fully or redesigning the front yard to have a parking spot or two instead. I have received quotes of $15-20k for just repairing the wall and $30-50k for different designs to create a carpark. There appears to be electricals and water if you were to redesign for a carpark, which our strata has suggested not doing, but the owners would like options to weigh up. Regardless of what decision is made, we want this repaired in the next few months as it has looked like this for over a year and our previous strata was very frustrating in organising this for us. The mailboxes would need to be replaced or moved (I've suggested putting them in front of the bins) as they are old, only get snails in them because they're right next to the garden and the quotes so far suggest they likely have asbestos in them. I have put $5 just to get the task up, but we understand it will obviously be more.
