Hi there, we have an old New World Rangette which is in excellent condition however the gas oven is not climbing above 160 degrees even when the dial on the over is turned up to high. Unsure what is wrong. Perhaps needs a retrofitted thermostat?

Westinghouse cooktop to be fitted, present hole size 550 x 475 required 560 x 490. There is room on the benchtop.

The stove was working fine. It was cleaning the dirt, and then the light is not able to get on. The Gas is fine that can smell it, and having the “ da da “ sound, but not able to light on.

I'm after a NSW licensed gas-fitter to remove existing gas cooktop, adjust the position of the gas valve/copper piping leading into the cooker and install the new gas cooktop. The reason the pipe needs to be moved is to accomodate our new oven. The oven won't go all the way back to sit flush as the current gas valve is preventing it from being pushed back fully (around 5cm needed) I'm assuming the job will entail cutting the copper pipe and lower or recess a new valve/bayonet so it sits clear of the oven chassis. All work needs to be pressure-tested, leak-tested and provide written Certificate of Compliance on completion (if possible) The electric oven is already hard-wire connected and a power socked is already in place for the cooktop ignition.
