I’m in Melbourne. I’m replacing an existing freestanding gas cooker with a freestanding 90cm induction cooker (Technika TFS9010AINDMB) in the same location. I need: 1) Licensed electrician (VIC) to: - Assess my outdoor switchboard capacity/protection - Supply and install a dedicated circuit for the induction cooker (size as per appliance specs) - Install connection point (hardwired cooker connection unit or suitable outlet as required) - Connect, test and commission -- Provide COES (Certificate of Electrical Safety) 2) Licensed gasfitter/plumber to: - Disconnect old gas cooker - Cap/terminate the gas line safely and leave compliant (leak test as required) - Provide any compliance paperwork if applicable Notes: - Switch board is outside on the wall. - Cooker is replacing a freestanding cooker in the same position.

Hi everyone, I am looking for a licensed plumber or gas fitter to permanently disconnect and cap the gas line to my broken cooktop so I can safely have an electric induction unit installed later. My current setup is a standard 60cm gas cooktop sitting directly above a Westinghouse electric wall oven. The gas is currently turned off at the main valve and the benchtop is laminate. I need you to safely disconnect the broken gas cooktop and permanently cap the gas pipe behind the oven. You will also need to test the line to ensure there are absolutely no leaks and issue a VBA Gas Compliance Certificate, which is mandatory for me to proceed with the electrical stage. Please leave the decommissioned cooktop sitting in the benchtop cutout once disconnected. My electrician will remove and dispose of it later to ensure dust and debris do not fall into the exposed oven casing in the meantime. You do not need to do any physical removal or electrical work.
