Finish Required: Clear polyurethane satin finish, 2 coats or maybe 3, it is for a rental, so hard wearing but low cost. Status: House will be completely empty and clear of furniture on the day. We need a handy person, floor sander, or painter/cleaner to complete the timber floor prep, full interior dust removal, and initial oil coat for our she-shed (3.5m x 5.5m, ~19.25 sq m total floor area). 1. Floor edge & spot sanding: Detail-sand the 5–7cm unsanded timber floorboard border (as pictured) to match the raw timber center. There are a few slightly rough spots on the main floor area that need spot sanding (we can provide a Ryobi hand sander + sanding pads if needed). 2. Complete interior dust removal: The sanding of the main area has left heaps of fine sawdust on the ceiling, walls, windows, etc. All these surfaces need a thorough vacuum and wipe down so the entire space is 100% dust-free before coating. 3. First coat of floor finish: Apply the 1st coat of the oil-based finish to the floorboards across the entire room (we will provide the oil and applicator and will complete the subsequent coats). I have had a new wooden pine deck installed. It is now about 6 weeks old and needs to be prepped and oiled. There are still pencil marks from installation which require removal or sanding. I have both the oil and applicators. There is also a ramp as pictured.
