It's an old carpet. Burn accidentally by a hair straightner.

Currently dealing with carpet beetles I’ve had the house sprayed 3 days ago but am still seeing them. I have been vaccuming deep cleaning but still coming through. I’m looking for someone that can come and go through the wardrobes at the top and see if they can identify the where abouts / cause of all this. I would like to tear up the carpet on our hallway landing and replace it with the spare of cuts. The landing is 2700 mm x 1100 mm. Piece one is 1500 by 750 mm. Piece two is 1450 mm by 630. Piece 3 is 1650 mm by 1680 mm. The existing underlay can be reused.
